What it is
OneNet is an Ethernet/IP-based marine standard designed to carry high-bandwidth data such as radar, sonar and camera feeds that NMEA 2000 cannot handle.
How it works
It rides on standard networking over IP and reuses the PGN-based payloads of NMEA 2000, with bridges connecting OneNet and N2K segments.
Where it fits
OneNet suits high-bandwidth bridge systems, working alongside NMEA 2000 which still handles the low-bandwidth instrument traffic.
