Track & Trace is an open standard from the Digital Container Shipping Association that expresses container status events as real-time APIs.

How it works

It defines a common event model across carriers covering the shipment journey from booking to delivery, replacing slow, batch-style EDI.

Adoption

Major carriers such as Maersk, MSC, CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd and ONE participate, and the API definitions are published openly on SwaggerHub and GitHub.
