What it is
An eBL is the digital version of the Bill of Lading, the document of title and receipt for goods, standardized by DCSA.
Why it matters
Paper bills of lading are slow, costly and prone to fraud, so an eBL speeds the transfer of title and removes delays from the process.
How it works
A common data model and APIs allow the secure electronic issuance and transfer of the document between all parties in a trade.
