Modbus es un protocolo industrial maestro/esclavo sencillo utilizado por PLCs, sensores y equipos de automatización, y es ubicuo en todas las industrias.
Variantes
Modbus RTU funciona sobre líneas serie mientras que Modbus TCP funciona sobre Ethernet, ambos utilizando un modelo de datos sencillo basado en registros.
