- Transmission: edge gateway on board aggregates readings and pushes via MQTT over VSAT or LTE/LEO satellite link to a shore-side cloud platform — typical polling interval 1–5 minutes.
- Alerts fire at the edge (no satellite delay) and are mirrored to shore; threshold profiles are configurable per cargo type.
